Warrior Construction LLC was engaged to perform a destructive testing program at Symphony Honolulu, a high-rise residential condominium tower at 888 Kapiolani Blvd in Honolulu. The scope centered on the building’s domestic water distribution system and its water softener installation, with the goal of giving independent building engineering investigators direct physical access to representative sections of in-service piping for material and installation assessment.
Warrior’s crews isolated and drained hot and cold PEX water lines at multiple locations throughout the tower, opening minimum-viable wall and ceiling access points to reach each target section. Representative sample lengths of hot-line and cold-line PEX piping were cut, labeled, and photographed in place before removal, along with a section of piping from the building’s water softener system. Every sample was tracked through a formal chain-of-custody process from removal through hand-off to the testing team.
Following each sample pull, Warrior’s plumbing crew restored full function at every location: replacing removed sections with like-kind PEX piping and compatible fittings, pressure-testing each new joint above normal operating pressure, and verifying leak-free performance before returning service to residents. This project reflects Warrior Construction’s capability to execute precise, well-documented investigative and forensic-support construction work inside occupied multi-family towers.
