Our Proven Process

Every successful Warrior Construction project follows the same disciplined, 8-step process — designed for clarity, accountability, and exceptional results.

Why Process Matters in Hawaii Construction

Hawaii's construction environment is uniquely challenging — island logistics, volcanic soil conditions, coastal regulations, strict permitting, and weather exposure demand a methodical approach. Our 8-step process has been refined over 20 years to eliminate surprises, protect your investment, and deliver projects on time and on budget.

01

Discovery & Consultation

Pre-Construction

Every project starts with a focused conversation. We listen to your vision, goals, budget parameters, and timeline. Our team asks the right questions to understand not just what you want to build, but why — and what success looks like to you. We share our experience with similar projects in Hawaii and provide an honest assessment of feasibility from day one.

Site Analysis & Feasibility

Pre-Construction

Before a single drawing is produced, we conduct a thorough site analysis. Hawaii's volcanic geology, coastal proximity, and existing infrastructure all directly impact design and cost. We review zoning, setbacks, easements, utilities, soil conditions, and any Special Management Area (SMA) or historic preservation requirements that apply to your site.

Topographic and soil assessment
Zoning and setback review
Utility and infrastructure analysis
SMA and regulatory compliance check
03

Design & Engineering

Pre-Construction

We coordinate directly with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and civil engineers to produce construction documents that are buildable, code-compliant, and optimized for Hawaii's climate. We bring a contractor's perspective to the design process — identifying constructability issues early before they become costly field problems.

Architectural plan coordination
Structural engineering review
MEP systems integration
Value engineering for cost savings
04

Permitting & Approvals

Pre-Construction

Hawaii's Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) process is notoriously complex. Our team has navigated hundreds of permits across O'ahu and understands exactly what's required. We prepare complete permit packages, respond to correction letters, and manage the review process proactively to minimize delays — often the most time-consuming phase of any Hawaii project.

Plan check coordination
Correction letter responses
Building, electrical, plumbing permits
05

Procurement & Scheduling

Construction

Island logistics require advance planning. Materials that arrive by sea take weeks — or months — to source and deliver. We identify long-lead items early, establish supplier relationships, and build buffer time into our schedules. Our detailed project schedule is shared with you and updated regularly so you always know exactly where your project stands.

Construction & Quality Control

Construction

This is where Warrior Construction earns its reputation. Our experienced superintendents manage day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety standards, and enforce quality at every stage. We conduct regular quality control inspections and maintain detailed daily logs. You receive weekly progress updates and are always welcome on site.

Final Inspections & Punch List

Closeout

As we approach substantial completion, we conduct our own comprehensive punch list walk before inviting you to do the same. Every item is tracked, assigned, and closed out. We coordinate all required government inspections and ensure your Certificate of Occupancy is issued without delay. Nothing is called complete until it meets our standard — and yours.

Warranty & Ongoing Support

Post-Construction

Our relationship doesn't end at certificate of occupancy. Warrior Construction provides a standard one-year workmanship warranty on all work performed. We deliver complete project closeout documentation including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, equipment warranties, and lien releases. Our team remains accessible for any questions or issues that arise after you move in.
