Lae Nani AOAO in Kapaʻa, Kauaʻi needed fast answers about the condition of its buried 4-inch cast iron waste piping. Working alongside the general contractor, Warrior Construction took on an emergency underground discovery program with four sampling locations spread across the property’s landscaped areas.
Our crew carefully opened each marked location with a mini excavator and hand tools, protecting the lawn and landscaping, to expose the pipe. Samples were cut, labeled and tagged for laboratory evaluation.
At each location the sampled section was replaced with new pipe, then backfilled and restored, so residents could keep using their grounds. The association now has the physical evidence its engineers need to plan permanent repairs.
